Tuition & Aid

Tuition for the Penn State Smeal Part-Time Hybrid MBA program is based on the University's annual in-state and out-of-state graduate rates, divided by the program's total number of credits required to graduate (35 credits). For the 2026-27 academic year, estimated tuition is $924.00 per credit for in-state students and $1,594.00 per credit for out-of state students.

In addition to tuition, students will be required to pay a $350 fee at the start of each semester.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to accept an offer of admission to the program. This deposit will be credited toward your fall tuition payment.

Financial Support

Merit scholarships are available for admitted students. All applicants are automatically considered for funding, and there is no additional application necessary. For full consideration, candidates should apply by the third-round deadline. If you have additional questions, please contact the admissions team at hybridmba@smeal.psu.edu.

In-Person Residency

Attendance is required for a two-and-a-half-day in-person residency at the start of each semester at Penn State's University Park campus. During these kickoff residencies, students will have the opportunity to network with faculty, staff, and peers.

Students are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and associated costs. To explore accommodations, visit the Happy Valley Adventure Bureau website.

Global Immersion

The current estimated cost for global immersion is $2,700 per student (based on double occupancy) or $3,335 per student (single occupancy). This estimate does not include airfare or personal expenses such as passports, visas, meals, optional activities, and other incidental costs.

Note: Hybrid MBA students admitted for Fall 2025 will participate in the immersion during the 2027 spring semester; costs are subject to change.
